Place pier blocks so that the posts will be against the inside of the support frame.
Then run joists connecting the front of your roof with the rear every two feet along the length of your roof.
If the posts supporting the roofs are placed directly on the deck structure below there are a few considerations to make.
Frame up a box the size of the outer dimensions of your deck using 2 by 4 inch lumber.
