First of all you have to place the board against the concrete wall at the place where you want to hang your pegboard.
Pegboard is a tempered hardboard with pre drilled holes designed to be strong enough to support most household hand tools.
I used 2 sheets of 2 x 4 pegboards that i bought at home depot.
Take a level and place.
Repeat with remaining furring strips to secure the pegboard to the wall.
Hanging the support boards gives you a solid surface to attach the pegboard and also allows for some dead space behind it.
You want the board to stick out of the wall to leave space for hooks.
Place a 4 foot 1 by 2 inch board against the cinder block wall at the top edge of the location where you d like the peg board to be installed.
Then insert screws into the holes after.
Staple gun or nail your pegboards to the 1 x 2 boards.
Nail or staple a 1 x 2 board across the top to give the pegboard a framed finished look.
After making the holes put down the board and put the masonry wall anchors in the holes.
Screw the pegboard into the furring strips using 3 4 inch screws with washers.
