In this video i will show you the easiest and most inexpensive way to install vinyl window shutters on your brick exterior wall.

After removing the shutter drill a hole at each mark.

Be sure to leave space between the edge of the shutter and the window edge so your shutters can expand and contract as temperatures rise and fall.
Install your shutters have a helper hold a shutter up to the edge of your window.
Be careful not to drill into the wall.

With the shutter in location against the wall drill through the shutter into the walls surface 3 1 4 deep.
Once you determine where you would like the shutter to be placed use a pencil to mark the edge on the siding.
Mark the locations of the mounting holes on the building.

Push shutter locks through the holes in the shutter and into the hole in the wall surface.
Typically the shutter fastner will be just under 3 long.
Overtightening fasteners during shutter installation can create warping or dimples on the surface of vinyl.
Make sure you drill holes deep enough so the shutter fasteners don t bottom out.
Place the vinyl shutter next to the window where you plan to install.
