Installing Exterior Vinyl Window Shutters

In this video i will show you the easiest and most inexpensive way to install vinyl window shutters on your brick exterior wall.

After removing the shutter drill a hole at each mark. Reposition the shutter. Be sure to leave space between the edge of the shutter and the window edge so your shutters can expand and contract as temperatures rise and fall. Mark the locations of the mounting holes on the building. The process goes pretty smoo. Push shutter locks through the holes in the shutter and into the hole in the wall surface. Typically the shutter fastner will be just under 3 long.

Overtightening fasteners during shutter installation can create warping or dimples on the surface of vinyl. Make sure you drill holes deep enough so the shutter fasteners don t bottom out. Place the vinyl shutter next to the window where you plan to install.
