Installing Nmo Roof Mount

After much discussion purchase and evaluation nmo was a clear winner and the 3 8 inch version was my choice.

The through hole mount was in. Both achieved the same result and i used a little bit of dielectric grease on the o rings to prevent tearing during the install. The center nmo had to be installed by feeding the wire through the hole from the top while the rear mount was able to slip into the hole from the bottom. It s a taurus who s going to care about a hole in the roof.

I had installed a nice nmo mount myself for the quarter dipole antenna and wired the power directly to the battery with inline fuses. At the time of install the ex was about 4 years old so i didn t mind drilling a hole in the roof for the nmo mount and fishing power wires through the firewall. So here we go with the steps taken to install an nmo 3 8 inch mount in my taurus roof top. Nmo a clear winner.

This would be used to mount an antenna on a roof of a vehicle.
